The workshop entitled DEVELOPING THE LEBANESE CERTIFICATE IN TEACHING AND LEARNING IN HIGHER EDUCATION was held with the presence of Dr. Ahmad Jammal, Director General of Higher Education, from Sunday 14th to Thursday 18th of January 2018 in Hohenwart Forum, Pforzheim, Germany. This workshop was hosted by the Center for Academic Staff Development at the University of Applied Sciences in the State of Baden-Württemberg (Geschäftsstelle der Studienkommission für Hochschuldidaktik an Hochschulen für Angewandte Wissenschaften in Baden-Württemberg), Karlsruhe University of Applied Science, Germany.
This four day workshop which is the principal activity of E-TALEB workpackage 5 has been designed to provide sufficient background knowledge and information to facilitate and support the design and delivery of the Lebanese Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. In reference to the LBPSF resulted from the E-TALEB Project, this certificate programme will provide faculty to engage in research and discussion promoting the teaching and learning within the context of the national framework for professional standards. During this workshop, Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HsKA), German, as well as the UK partners SEDA and Roehampton University have shared their experience in designing and delivering such programme in alignment with UKPSF.
